Care Advice

For making your special and unique piece of jewelry last and shine longer, here I share a few do's and don'ts.

DO
• Clean your handmade wire jewelry after each wear with a clean lint-free cotton cloth.
• Store in a separate bag (cellophane, cotton, linen) or closed lined box. This is to prevent scratching with other jewelry pieces.
• Store in a moisture free environment, away from heat sources.

DON'T
Your handmade jewelry is to be worn ONLY after all cosmetics and perfumes have been applied. Hairspray, lotions, creams, powders, perfumes, etc. can leave residues and cause erosion/abrasions in your handmade jewelry.
It is not recommended to use cleaning products on your handmade jewelry such as detergents, make-up removers, acetone, etc. These cleaning products can stain your jewelry permanently, damaging the shine and integrity of the metal and stones.
Do not wear handmade wire jewelry and do sports. Leave your handmade jewelry at home if doing/playing sports. Even activities such as house cleaning (detergents), gardening (dirt and sweat) or cooking (moisture and heat) are not recommended when using handmade jewelry. Wear your unique handmade pieces after you are done with your chores.
It is recommended if wearing necklaces or bracelets not to layer your handmade copper wire jewelry, for it can scratch the polymer coating of the wire and create discoloration.
In case washing is needed:

Use water and a mild fragrance-free detergent. Gently soak for a few seconds, do not brush with harsh brushes such as a toothbrush. Gently remove dirt with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth. Remove from water, rinse and pad dry to avoid water spots. Avoid long soaking. Let dry overnight and store only after the jewelry item is fully dry.
Just by doing this, your handmade jewelry with retain its shine, color and beauty for a long time.
Good habits are essential to make your unique handmade copper wire jewelry last for a long time.
